What is Smart Targeting
Smart Targeting allows you to use Smart weapon’s special trait: bullets will go straight to the enemy you’re trying to shoot or hit, regardless of your aim.
How to Unlock and Use Smart Targeting
While you can buy a hand mod called Smart Link (you’ll need 14 Street Cred and $9000) you can instead get a fancy tattoo from Wakako and get it for free.
Once you’ve reached Act 2, visit Wakako in Westbrook’s Japantown to complete the side job “The Gig.” She’ll pay V for their work, but more importantly, has set up another free reward for V with Cassius Ryder’s ripperdoc shop in Watson.
Fast travel to the Pershing Street and take a look at the Hand mods. You’ll find the item Tattoo: Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint available to you for free. This will replace any other mod you had, but any old mod will stay in your inventory.
