The Valve Company created the Steam Deck, a portable gameplay device. Like the Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck can be used as a portable or plugged into a display. It is a SteamOS-powered device with built-in gameplay controls that can play all Steam games, including Windows Computer titles thanks to the Linux-based Proton interoperability layer. The system is an open framework that enables users to add suitable non-Steam software, including operating systems, games, and apps.
