Dragon’s Dogma 2 – How to Import Chars and Start New Game

This step by step guide explains how do you can import character from character creation and start the new game.

The Guide

Step 1: Clear the Decks

Head to your Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> Userdata -> (your Steam ID) -> (game ID) -> Remote -> Win64_Save. Delete all files in there.

Step 2: Character Creation

Fire up the character creator in DD2 and whip up a new character. It doesn’t matter how it looks, ’cause you won’t be using it. Finish up and select the option to import this new character.

Step 3: Character Import

Now, choose the character you actually wanna use. Say you wanna make changes to it, finalize it, and you should see the message asking if you wanna import this character. Hit yes.

Step 4: Tidy Up

Back to that same folder, delete everything except SS1_data000 and SS1_data00-1.

Step 5: Cloud Control

In Steam, hit up the game properties and disable Steam Cloud.

Step 6: Let’s Roll

Launch DD2.
