Drop rates are better on higher difficulties. You can swap difficulties freely before starting a fight.
Revisit the mines & lumber stumps as they respawn.
Complete the main quests so you can get more armor repair per part.
Dont repair full after each battle, if your armor has 1 damage or 25 damage, it will still use 1 repair part. EG: If you have 10 troops with 1 ~ 10 points of armor damage each, you will be using 10 repair parts, not 4.
Always upgrade your weapon first, killing the enemies faster also means taking less damage overall. You only need enough armor to not die from bankruptcy.
Rethink your party composition & combat tactics. If you are always using more than 5 repair parts for a normal battle, you might wanna change the way you fight. FYI Im using < 3 repair parts / battle on extreme. Not getting hit should be your priority, have units with up to 80 guard be the only ones taking damage.
