Commander O’Neil Guide

What You’ll need:
- 74+ FP
- Latenna the Albinauric (Spirit Ash)
I’m not even gonna lie, I somehow ended up fighting O’Neil when I was level 20, on top of that scarlet rot can kill You on its own in a few seconds if You’re not paying attention, so here’s a easy method of getting rid of this big guy.
Before beginning the actual fight with O’Neil, find Yourself a nice, wide root(?), I highly recommend looking for one that’s high above the ground. [there’s plenty of them all around the arena]
The one I used was on the left side of the arena. (if facing from the Stake of Marika)
Once You decide that it should be good enough, just summon Latenna. All You’ll have to do now is get rid of the phantom soldiers O’Neil summons at the beginning of the fight and defend yourself from 3 Greataxe wielding phantoms as soon as phase 2 starts.
In the meantime, Latenna should be killing the actual boss on her own.
All that’s left is to sit on your horse so you’re 100% protected from the scarlet rot.
Note: The reason why Latenna is so important here, is because her Spirit Ash doesn’t move after spawning, so she’s just gonna camp from that one spot
