More Mount & Blade 2 Guides:

I will show you how to find any character on the map (well most of them).

How Different is It Compare to M&B Warband?

Note: Credit goes to Delinard

Compare to Warband, you can no longer ask rulers for location of other rulers, and they are more aggressive so it’s harder to track them down in general. However once you get used to Bannerlord’s way, it can sometimes be much easier then having to ask other rulers.

Using the Encyclopedia

The benefit of this is that it not only works for rulers but also for some characters, like being able to track location of your brother (even though he is bugged and you cannot speak to him for now).

You first need to enter ANY Town, Castle or Villige. This will refresh you the known locations of all characters in the map in your Encyclopedia. If you are stopped by the guards then you must enter the settlement to get the info you need:

So to open the Encyclopedia you need to press N (Default key that can be changed). You can do this while you are in settlement or outside. Then you have to navigate the menus to find the character you want to find, this shouldn’t be that hard.

After you found the character look at this small piece of info on top right:

Now you know where he is at the present, but the info gets outdated while you aren’t inside any settlement, so i recommend visiting every settlement on the way to update the info so you can track the character easier.

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
