Venetica – Small Tweaks to Run Properly on Steam Deck

Introduction

If you’re looking to play Venetica on your Steam Deck, you can rest easy knowing that for the most part it works without any tweaks to the in-game settings or Proton.

The only setting that needs to be changed is the resolution, which can be problematic due to a small bug in menu navigation.

A workaround has been included in this guide to make sure it doesn’t impact your Steam Deck playing experience.

Fixing the Resolution

While straightforward, a weird quirk in the controls may cause issues for saving the resolution.

• Step 1: Launch the game, go into Settings, then Display.
• Step 2: Change Video Resolution to 1280×800 and confirm changes by pressing A twice.
• Step 3: Press the Steam button and close the game (Do not press the B button while in the menu, as this will reset the resolution to the default).

You should now be able to play the game at the Steam Deck’s native resolution.
