NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 – How to Play on Steam Deck (Screen Setup)

First of all, let me say that this game is fully compatible with the game console Steam Deck. I’m not sure if everyone will have similar problems, but despite the fact that the game page says that the game is not compatible, in fact it is not and the game is fully compatible. I’ve been playing the game for a long time and I have no problems on the Steam Deck.

Familiarization with the Problem

Here’s an example, what with this image:

You’re probably going to have the screen problem that I described.

That is, despite the resolution, your screen seems to be divided into four pieces and you are shown only the top part of it, as if the other three are just closed off.

Changing the Screen Resolution in Properties

When you enter the game, most likely you will have the game itself in some strange resolution, as if 1920×1080 and as if the camera itself is somewhere in the corner. If you have such a problem, the best solution is this: Exit the game, go to the properties of the game and select the screen resolution 1200×800, if this does not help and the problem remains, follow the second point.

Changing the Resolution in the Game Itself

It’s a little more complicated than that. You’re gonna have to navigate a little bit blindly. In the game menu itself, where you’ll see the choice of modes, “Free Combat”, “Story” and so on, you need to press R4 or L4 on your device.

Clicked, good for you, now you need to scroll all the way to the bottom or make it so that you are in the very last item and go one item up in the settings I think you’ll probably see it say “screen resolution” or something like that.

Next, you use the left stick to move it to the right many times, and after that you press ‘A’ on the right and confirm the settings have been applied. You should immediately change the screen resolution to normal, i.e. up to 1200×800 or something more appropriate. There you can already customize everything you want and you can play.
