Illustration Farming Tips
Use Merchant often to rob him (many orange gear and good items drop), Take your A++ team/artifact, use last few room placement to be nice to merchant (gift, invest) to bring the price down to spend your hard-earned coins, go home with all your loots.
You can do this at any Illustration level, just make sure your team is strong enough to rob the merchant multiple times.
You can farm Merchant for coins and purchase from the start, then spend all coins first without any robbing, or rob first to get purple/orange gears and special items, then coins afterward. Play base on your team and your style. Enjoy!
