To use the Offering Bowl you need to first obtain an artifact that you obtained as a mission reward.

After obtaining the artifact you can research it at the forge, which increases your research level and gives you one of 4 different artifact types.

If you place this artifact in the offering bowl at night and use a word of power, you will obtain a reward.

You get bonus rewards if you use the correct power word to match the item.
