A full any % speedrunning guide. Spoilers for the entire game.

Introduction

  • Each bullet point in the guide indicates a separate loop.
  • Throughout the guide, it’ll say “Loop to: [location].” Only choose the option to loop there with the doors unlocked if the guide specifies “(unlocked)”. If it’s not specified, loop there with the doors locked.
  • When you go through the House, do the most optimal route (going for the keys and nothing else) unless otherwise specified.
  • If you don’t have enough Memory of Skirmishes to loop forward, just go through the House manually until you have enough. (More on this point later).
  • Memory of Sadnesses is a godsend, but you need a ton of Memory of Skirmishes, so I’d recommend keeping Memory of Defeat equipped for most of the run.
  • I recommend picking up the paper mache gloves for fighting the King, but it isn’t required.
  • Turn on instant text speed.
  • Don’t eat pineapples.

Act 3

  • Ask all of your party members what they need help with. Ask the shop owner about the storage room openphrase (in the same room as Odile). Ask the librarian about familytales. Loop to: 2nd floor.
  • Get the familytale info in the secret library. Loop to: 3rd floor.
  • Inspect Mirabelle’s roommate’s bed then inspect Mirabelle’s drawer. Loop to: King.
  • Question the king then die to him (by not using Mirabelle’s shield).
  • (Note: for this specific loop, don’t loop forward. It must be unbroken.) Do everyone’s hangouts. Ask the librarian about time craft. On floor 1, read the time craft book in the room on the far left. On floor 2, read the King notes in the head housemaiden’s office. Question the king, then beat him and talk to the housemaiden.

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
