Here’s a quick start guide to gardening that will have you up and running in a matter of minutes!

Quick Gardening Guide

Unlocking the Garden Blueprint

To unlock the Garden blueprint (square or circle shape), you simply need to find a Hose. Hoses can be acquired from the Supply Room in the Kitchen Area on Level 2. Picking up a Hose will unlock both garden blueprint varieties.

Required Materials

To build your garden, you’ll need:

  • 2x Plastic Scrap (found nearly everywhere)
  • 1x Wooden Plank (found nearly everywhere)
  • 2x Hose (from Level 2 Kitchen Supply Room)
  • 1x Soil Bag (from Level 2 Kitchen Area)
    • All materials must be crafted at the Crafting Bench.

Obtaining Seeds

  • Tomato Seeds: Found in Kitchen Area on Level 2
  • Anteverse Wheat: Found inside the first portal (can be recycled into other seed types)
  • Super Tomato Seeds: Crafted from materials

Getting Started

  • Craft your desired garden plot
  • Plant your seeds inside
  • Fill the plot with water (max 400ml)
  • Refill water when it gets low
  • Wait for the plant to reach Stage 5
  • Harvest your crop daily
  • Store harvests in the fridge
  • Profit!

Tips

  • Always check the water level (blue line on plot).
  • If the bulb glows red, the plot is out of water.
  • You have some time after water depletes before a planted seed is destroyed.
  • Around 5-6 minutes to harvest once plant is ready, or you’ll need a new seed.

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.

    • In the game, the water in the sinks replenishes every 2-3 in-game days. This means that players can rely on the sinks as a recurring water source.
Additionally, water coolers have an unlimited respawn rate. Players can go to the offices on the second floor and loot 3-5 water coolers every day. This provides a reliable and infinite source of water for the player’s needs.

    • You may get 250 milliliters of clean, purified water by heating up 1000 milliliters in a pot on the stove.

  1. I have the lead belly trait, thus it won’t allow me fill any containers with tainted water. Is this a problem, or am I doing anything wrong?

  2. Is it okay if I use uncontaminated water directly from one of the fountains or should I boil the water I offer the plants?

    • I don’t think you can provide the tainted water from your plot; if you need water, boil it like you mentioned or simply obtain it from the water cooler yourself! (Or the full water cooler, if you like)
