Is the A Rift in Time expansion included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription?
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time is not included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Subscribers have access to the base game of Disney Dreamlight Valley, including all free content updates.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can purchase the expansion pass from the Xbox platform they are on if they wish to play this content in the game installed from their Xbox Game Pass.
If I purchase the expansion pass on a console, will all profiles on that device have access to the expansion?
If there are multiple user profiles on a console, only the user profile that purchased the expansion pass will be able to access the expansion content in-game.
How far do I need to advance in the Disney Dreamlight Valley core game before I can access the expansion?
In order to access Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time expansion content in-game, you must first unlock the Dream Castle, Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and each of the Royal Tools at the beginning of the core game.
Once this has been completed, you will then need to seek out a sign of Jafar’s meddling in Dreamlight Valley to progress further.
What is included in the A Rift In Time expansion?
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time brings a significant amount of new content to the game, expanding upon the existing, full base-game experience.
Over the course of three chapters, players will unveil a mysterious and expansive new story arc, welcome multiple new Characters to the Valley, embrace the power of time with a new Royal Tool, and uncover a whole wealth of surprises!

Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time is available to purchase from digital storefronts on PC, Mac, and console platforms.
For Apple Arcade subscribers, the expansion pass is included as part of Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition.
When will Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time be released?
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time is available now on all supported platforms. Players can currently enjoy the first chapter of the expansion. Subsequent chapters — included when you purchase the expansion pass — will be released over the coming months to further expand upon its story arc and content.
Will all three chapters of A Rift In Time be released at once?
Each of Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift In Time’s three chapters will release individually over a period of months. These three chapters will all be included in the purchase of the expansion.
Will progress from the core game carry over to the Expansion Pass?
Yes! While the Expansion Pass will take you to exceptional new locales, your Avatar, unlocked Villagers, belongings, and progress in Disney Dreamlight Valley will carry over to your time with A Rift in Time. Think of it as a further extension of your Valley experience!
Does the Expansion Pass support cross-buy across multiple platforms?
Purchases of the Expansion Pass are platform-specific, meaning that players should ensure they purchase the pass for their primary platform to ensure they are able to easily access all the content it has to offer.
For Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time, players will only be able to access Eternity Isle – the new world introduced in this expansion – on the platform they have bought the Expansion Pass for. Some other content from the expansion – including use of the new Royal Tool, Dreamlight Duties, items, characters and more – can still be enjoyed by Expansion Pass owners on other platforms where they own the game but not the Expansion Pass.
