Mortal Kombat 1 – Best Settings for Steam Deck Users

Best Settings for Better Gameplay

I’ve seen people wonder what the best settings on Steam Deck are and want to know. This is my balance and pretty good way to play on it.

First off I am using Cryo utilities set optimum and changing the VRAM to 4 GB. If you don’t know how to do this, then Google is a good friend. So here’s my settings…..

Graphics are Borderless, Vsync OFF, FPS Limit 60, Upscaling Method is AMD FSR 1.0, Balanced, Sharpness set to 80. Now hit the Select Button for advanced settings.

  • Texture Quality – Medium
  • Anisotropic Filtering – 8x
  • Bloom – Off
  • Ambient Occlusion – On
  • Reflection – On
  • Chromatic Abberation – Off (Does anyone ever want this on in any game?)
  • AA Mode – TAA
  • Particle Density – Low

The benchmark should give an average of like 44 FPS. That is good. But if you play the game, many stages go up to 55 FPS. It depends on the stage.

They are not equal in terms of resource hogging. However I don’t think I ever dip below at least 40, maybe a frame here and there. Try it out. It’s playable.

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
