2×2 4-4 Space Belt Balancer Blueprint

This machine takes in 4 space belts and balances them, lane by lane. Note that each lane 1 gets mixed with the other lane1, lane 6 with 6 etc. It will NOT mix between floors, so your mixed notches will stay identically mixed.

It has a LOT of unnecessary belt launchers to make it set up and saturate faster.

This fully belted version (for reference) takes 45 seconds to fully saturate my belt reading device (max upgrades). The “fast” version is 5 seconds faster, and is mostly limitted by that green space belt.

As to why this is useful, in my case, I’m trying to make {SbSbSbSr} for one of the insane mode milestones. I have 3 space belts of {SbSbSbSb}, and I want to paint just enough for what I need. My balancer allows me to split off the load, efficiently paint a whole star, and then merge it in after.
