Persona 4 Golden

This guide will show you what steps you need to take to see all of the 7 different endings (some are variations of the same ending, with some changes to reflect the different actions taken).

All Endings

Introduction

This is for people who want to see all the possible endings in Persona 4 Golden. As this is an ending guide, be warned that there will be spoilers. I highly recommend at least beating the game once before reading through this.

Bad Ending #1

Requirements

Date: December 3

Yosuke: “What do you want to do… Leader?”
Response: A or B – “Push the bastard in.” or “I can’t stay.”
. . .
(If previous response was A)
Yukiko: “Are you sure about this…?”
Response: A – “Do it already.”

(If previous response was B)
Yosuke: “Are you sure about that?”
Response: A – “…Push him in.”

Outcome

Namatame is thrown into the TV world and dies. The murder case remains shrouded in mystery. Nanako dies. Teddie leaves and goes back to his world.

Bad Ending #2

Requirements

Date: December 3

Yosuke: “What do you want to do… Leader?”
Response: Any combination of responses except for the following 3…

A, A
B, A
C, A, C, B, C, B

Outcome

Namatame is not thrown into the TV world and left to the custody of the police. He confesses to the kidnappings, but not the first two murders (case still unsolved?). Nanako survives but remains in the hospital. Teddie leaves and goes back to his world.

Bad Ending #3

Requirements

Date: December 3

Yosuke: “What do you want to do… Leader?”
Responses in the following order:

C – “Wait a second here…”
A – “We’re missing something”
C – “Namatame’s true feelings”
B – “Something’s been bothering me”
C -“We’re missing something…”
B – “Calm the hell down!”

Date: December 5

“The person who seems to be the most likely culprit is…”
Responses: Pick three people who are not the culprit (Adachi)

Outcome

Namatame is not thrown into the TV world and left to the custody of the police. The case remains unsolved as you are unable to figure out who the true culprit is. Nanako survives but remains in the hospital. Teddie leaves and goes back to his world.

Accomplice Ending

Requirements

Jester Social Link Rank 6 by November 1 (last date you can spend time with Adachi)

Date: December 3

Yosuke: “What do you want to do… Leader?”
Responses in the following order:

C – “Wait a second here…”
A – “We’re missing something”
C – “Namatame’s true feelings”
B – “Something’s been bothering me”
C -“We’re missing something…”
B – “Calm the hell down!”

Date: December 5

The person who seems to be the most likely culprit is…
Response: (Page 3, Choice C) – Tohru Adachi

Should you tell your friends about your suspicions about Adachi being the culprit?
Response: B – Don’t tell friends, protect Adachi

Date: March 20

This is probably the last day you can see Adachi…
Response: A – Go see Adachi.

Adachi: “Well, anyway, what’s with the sudden visit? Can I help you with something?”
Response: B – “Did you do it?”
. . .
Adachi: “What did you come here to do? Convince me to turn myself in?”
Response: B – “No.”
. . .
Adachi: “So… what? Are you trying to blackmail me?”
Response: B – “No.”
. . .
Adachi: “Well…? Are you going to keep playing detective?”
Response: B – “I’m on your side.”
. . .
Adachi: “Do you understand what that means?”
Response: A – “Yes.”
. . .
Will you burn the letter…?
Response: B – Set fire to the letter

Outcome

You figure out who the true culprit is, but decided to keep it a secret from your friends. Nanako survives but remains in the hospital. Teddie leaves and goes back to his world.

Normal Ending

Requirements

Date: December 3

Yosuke: “What do you want to do… Leader?”
Responses in the following order:

C – “Wait a second here…”
A – “We’re missing something”
C – “Namatame’s true feelings”
B – “Something’s been bothering me”
C -“We’re missing something…”
B – “Calm the hell down!”

Date: December 5

The person who seems to be the most likely culprit is…
Response: (Page 3, Choice C) – Tohru Adachi

Should you tell your friends about your suspicions about Adachi being the culprit?

Response: A – Tell friends about Adachi

Date: March 20

You should return to your house to prepare for tomorrow…
Response: A – Yes

Outcome

You figure out Adachi was the true culprit is and managed to defeat him, but you still don’t know who the mastermind behind it all was. Nanako recovers, and Teddie stays around in Inaba.

True Ending

Requirements

Date: December 3

Yosuke: “What do you want to do… Leader?”
Responses in the following order:

C – “Wait a second here…”
A – “We’re missing something”
C – “Namatame’s true feelings”
B – “Something’s been bothering me”
C -“We’re missing something…”
B – “Calm the hell down!”

Date: December 5

The person who seems to be the most likely culprit is…
Response: (Page 3, Choice C) – Tohru Adachi

Should you tell your friends about your suspicions about Adachi being the culprit?

Response: A – Tell friends about Adachi

Date: March 20

You should return to your house to prepare for tomorrow…

Head to the Investigation Team’s secret headquarters one last time (Junes, Food Court)

Outcome

You figured out the true culprit and mastermind of the case, and defeated them all. Nanako recovers, and Teddie stays around in Inaba.

Golden Ending

Requirements

Follow the steps listed in the True Ending section.
In addition…

You need to have MAX Rank Aeon Social Link before December 24, and rescue Marie on February 13 from the Hollow Forest dungeon.

Outcome

Same thing as True Ending outcome, with an additional epilogue cutscene.
