Mount & Blade: Warband – Monetization Tactics

Welcome to the guide where I will show you how to make money in Mount&Blade Warband.

Missions

You know the Merchant’s mission to rescue the Brother, if you complete this mission you will get 500-600 dinars, which is a very good amount of money to start with.

Although quests from Lords and Guild Masters are for xp purposes, there are plenty of dinars in the ‘Tax Quest’, which is a very nice quest from the lords who own property.

We do the tax quest and collect the money, but we don’t give it back to the Lord. After collecting the tax, as long as you are not caught by the Lord, you can spend the money freely as there is no duty period.

Spoils of War

After each battle, we can take the items from the enemy into our inventory and sell them in the cities. At the beginning of the game, my advice is to walk along the coast of Rivacheg City after making the Rhodok Crossbowman. If you put your soldiers on a hill, you can contract very easily at the beginning of the game.

If you improve your looting ability, the loot after the war will increase.

Prisoners

Bounty Hunters or soldiers such as Swadia Knights, Veagir Veterans, Sarranid Mamluke carry stun weapons. Fainted enemy soldiers can be taken after a battle if you have the skill Captive Management turned on, and you can sell them at Taverns for a good price.

Trade

Trading in Warband means long distances, but don’t worry because if you buy iron in Curaw City and sell it in Rivacheg City right next to it, you will get close to 100% profit and I will show you several ways of trading.

• If you buy spices in Tulga and sell them in the Northern Cities or in Ahmerrad and Durquba in Sarranid, you will make a lot of profit.
• Oil is cheap in Suno and you can buy it there and sell it in Dhirim.
• Grain etc. is cheap in the villages around Dhirim, you can buy and sell there.
• If you buy salt in Wercheg and sell it to Sargoth, you can make close to 100% profit.
• You can buy furs in Khudan and sell them in Ahmerrad.

The most important thing here is that the more you buy an item, the more it increases, and the more you sell, the less money it costs, so let’s take that into account and trade accordingly.

Shops

Shops give you a steady income, but the important thing is not to open a shop, but to open it in the right place.

First we save 10,000 dinars and open a velvet shop in Rivacheg. This will earn us 1,000 dinars a week.

My advice is to open a velvet shop everywhere, but it can be difficult to collect 10 thousand dinars each time, so I thought it was right to include alternatives to shops.

• We’re opening an oil shop in Veluca. The oil shop price is 3.5k dinars.
• We’re opening a blacksmith shop in Jelkala, the price is 4.5k dinars.
• We are opening a Tannery Shop in Yalen, the price is 8k dinars.
• We open a Tannery Shop or Wool Shop in Praven, the price for the Tannery Shop is 8k dinars and the Wool Shop is 6k dinars.
• We are opening a Wool Shop in Suno, the price is 6k dinars.
• We open a Beer Shop or a Wool Shop in Uxkhal. The Beer Shop costs 2.5k dinars and the Wool Shop costs 6k dinars.
• We open a Blacksmith Shop in Dhirim, the price is 4.5k dinars.
• We are opening a Tannery Shop in Tulga for 8k dinars.
• We are opening a Velvet Shop in Ichamur, the price is 10k dinars.
• We are opening a tannery shop in Khudan, the price is 8k dinars.
• We are opening a Blacksmith Shop in Curaw, the price is 4.5k dinars.
• We are opening a Wool, Tannery or Velvet Shop in Reyvadin. Wool Shop costs 6k dinars, Tannery Shop costs 8k dinars and Velvet Shop costs 10k dinars.
• We’re opening a Velvet Shop in Wercheg for 10k dinars.
• In Sargoth we open a Wool Shop or a Blacksmith. The Wool Shop costs 6k dinars, the Blacksmith Shop costs 4.5k dinars.
• We open a Wool Shop in Thir. The price of the Wool Shop is 6k dinars.
• We are opening an Oil Shop, Wine Shop or Linen Shop in Shariz. The Oil Shop costs 3.5k dinars, the Wine Shop costs 5k dinars and the Linen Shop costs 6k dinars.
• We are opening an Oil Shop in Durquba for 3.5 dinars.
• We are opening a blacksmith shop in Ahmerrad, the price is 4.5 thousand dinars.
• We are opening an Oil Shop, a Wine Shop and a Linen Shop in Bariyya. The Oil Shop costs 3.5 thousand dinars, the Wine Shop costs 5 thousand dinars and the Flax Shop costs 6 thousand dinars.

You go to the guild leaders and tell them that you want to run a shop, your relationship with the lord and the city is very important here because if there is a -1 relationship, we cannot open a shop, so we have to pay attention to our relationships.

Taxes on Property

When you swear allegiance to the King or start your own Kingdom, the taxes from the Properties you own will provide you with a constant flow of money, this will only stop when they are Looted/Captured, but the village will continue to pay taxes once it returns to normal after the looting.

The amount of this money depends on whether your property is Rich or Poor.

Money from Tournaments

If you win in tournaments you will receive 200 dinars, but if you are confident you can increase this to 3980 dinars by betting 100 dinars each hand.

Caravans

Caravans travel from City to City on the map, carrying valuable goods such as Velvet and Raw Silk. Attacking caravans means going to war with that Kingdom, so you should not attack caravans before they are fully developed.

Looting

I saved this method of earning money for last, it pays well, but it’s a problem at the beginning of the game because if the lord of the village you’re looting sees you looting, he’ll probably take you prisoner and you’ll have to start from scratch, so don’t bother with this method unless you’re in trouble.
