Mall Empire – How to Run Mall Empire If It Crashes on a White Screen

If your game suddenly crashes after the “Unity” logo and a white or blank screen appears or if it’s not working, try the following.

Guide to Run the Game If It Crashes on a White Screen

How-To

  1. Go to where the game is installed on your PC (Usually in the C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Mall Empire).
  2. Right-click on the “game.exe” file and select “Properties”.
  3. When the screen comes up, Select “Compatibility Mode” tab.
  4. Under the “Compatilility Mode”, select “Windows 8” in the drop-down menu.
  5. Click on “Apply” and then click “OK”.
  6. Go to the game in Steam and run the game.
  7. Select any resolution you want and check the “Windows Mode” check box (I prefer the highest setting, but that’s just me).
  8. In the “Graphics Quality”, set it to “Fastest”, do not set it to “Fantastic”.

I’m not sure what the real issue is but I think it has something to do with the version of “Unity” the dev programmed the game. This is just a guess but even in the comments, he had no clue why the game was crashing for some people. It was crashing for me, so this is what I did to get the game to run. I hope this helps you run the game if you can’t get it to work right away.

For the record, this worked for me when I was able to at least get the “Unity” screen to come up and then crashed on a “white” blank screen.
