Hitman 2: Silent Assassin – Slow Motion / High FPS Fix

Slow Motion / High FPS Fix

So if you’re like me with a decent PC that can handle new games pretty well but you’ve wanted to play Silent Assassin for the good old memories from when you were a kid only to get 3000 fps and the game constantly going into like.. slow motion…

After a bit of digging in the local files since Hitman 2 doesn’t have vsync in the options and for some reason trying to cap it with the nvidia control panel didn’t work for me…

Right click on Silent Assassin in your Steam Library and go to the local files and from there open Hitman2.ini

At the top you will see DrawDLL most likely set to D3D.

Delete D3D and set it to OpenGL. DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll (You can copy and paste this in the ini and delete the old line).

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
