In this guide, I will be showing you how to complete Cry of Fear easy including how to not get scared at this game.

Abosulety Beat The Crap Out of Monsters/Bosses with OP/Secret Weapons

If you want to get secret weapons you’ll first need to get the secret room at the very beginning of the game. The way to unlock the room is to complete the game once on any difficulty.

Digital Camera

This can be unlocked by completing the game in under 2 hours and 30 minutes, if you’re new to the game this can be quite challenging so i recommend you to beat the game until you memorize chases and where you need to go or just watch a guide on youtube on how to complete it quickly.

This item can freeze enemies including sawrunner, it doesn’t freeze bosses but it can blind Dr. Purnell which makes him to miss few shots. Pretty decent.

Simon’s Book

This can be unlocked by completing the game on nightmare mode including getting an S rank, this requires practise so don’t be too stressed over it, it’s an incredible weapon that shoots flame and does massive dmg to enemies.

FAMAS

This can be unlocked by completing the nightmare mode on any rank or ending, not that hard but nightmare is a lot harder than easy mode so be aware.

David Leatherhoff’s Axe

After completing ending 4 you will get item called “Weird Package” pick that up and make your way to the college where the mailbox is and put the package there, after a quite a while when you get to kirkville make your way to your house and you’ll get the package there, you’ll get to the place “Heaven”, there will be a lot of jumping puzzles and a secret code you gotta put, the code is 26-16-4-27-49-49-2-32-45-12-23, after you kill npc “Twitcher” you’ll get the axe.

Bunnyhop

So what is bunnyhop?

Bunnyhop is a mechanic in Cry of Fear (you might heard of it in cs go), where you can make an incredible jump boost, this is mostly recommended for speedrunners but you can also use it for faster route to a certain place.

The way to do it is to set your dodge button (alt by default) to scroll, after that all you need to do is to press space and scroll at the same time, this takes practise. I couldn’t found a proper example for it like an image but you can find it on youtube.

Avoiding Jumpscares

Mute the game and play some really agressive phonk on spotify or youtube so you feel unstoppable. Make sure to stomp those monsters with your overpowered weapons.

Play Co-Op with Friends

Co-op is one of the most fun things to do in this game, there are many maps for multiplayer and also a different storyline, you can play this with an app called “Hamachi”, unfortunately I won’t be showing you how to set up servers because you already got a tutorial on developer’s official youtube channel.
