A way to get nice performance without changing your graphic settings in game.

What to Do

Note: Credit goes to SubWoofer

  • Open your Steam library and go into “sven coop properties”.
  • Click “set launch options”.
  • Type “-nomtex” into the field.
  • Ok!

What Does the Command Change?

The command “-nomtex” changes the setting to OpenGL renderer for Intel. It disables multitexturing and since most mappers don’t use multitexturing it is a nice trade-off multitexture -> FPS.

Example:

  • Multitexture

  • Without Multitexture

Will it Work with Other Processors?

Was tested with an Intel processor, but someone said it also worked well with AMD, so give it a try anyway.

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
