Snooker 19 – Transferring Game & Save from PC to Steam Deck

This guide is for those who have Snooker 19 downloaded onto a PC and would like to transfer the game over to a Steam Deck without losing their save file/starting again.

Transferring Game & Save

Note: Credit goes to Conga

This game does not support Cloud Saves (despite the store saying it does) so a fresh install onto the deck would otherwise start you from scratch.

  1. Install Snooker 19 onto Deck (currently opting into the Steam Beta allows you to transfer installed PC games onto deck without having to download files from the steam servers)
  2. Copy save file on PC:
    • C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Unreal\Saved\SaveGames
  3. Transfer save file (using FTP/USB stick etc) onto Deck:
    • /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/887800/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Unreal/Saved/SaveGames
  4. Done!

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
