Hello to whatever niche group of people wish to play Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason on the go. This shouldn’t be too lengthy of a guide but I saw some people asking about running this game on Steam Deck, so, here we go.
Guide to Run the Game on Steam Deck
How-To
- Put your Steam Deck into desktop mode first. You can do this by pressing and holding the power button at the top of the Deck, then press the “desktop mode” tab near the bottom of the listed options.
- Open Google Chrome and go to this link to install PhysX.
- Hit download and wait. Once installed, stow it away in whatever folder you see fit or would like, as it isn’t required that you put it in Cryostasis’ game folder.
And now you can enjoy playing Cryostasis on Deck (ironic)! Will provide my own community layout in the future and shall update this guide to recommend it by name once done. And this same solution should also work just fine for anyone playing on a standard desktop PC, just subtract step 1.
