How to Fix the Issue

TLDR: It is caused by origin running in the background. Turn off settings that enable origin to run when a game starts.

  • Close the game and launch origin (without starting the game).
  • Go to settings and disable run in background or disable starting when game launches or disable run in background.
  • Now close origin and start the game from Steam.
