Hyper Lilibri

Hyper Lilibri will appear as the final boss at the end of all routes on any difficulty above Easy. Beating Hyper Lilibri should not be required to use her in other modes; she appears as the third and fourth costumes for Lilibri (press grow on the character select two/three times).

Arlet

Arlet appears as a secret boss in Story Mode on routes Medium or harder just before Rosalia (or Lilibri, if on Rosalia’s route) when performing a 7 combo in any of the previous battles. Defeating Arlet will unlock him for play; he has his own icon on the Character select menu. Arlet is from Friend & Fairy’s other game, Grapple Force Rena.

Libbie

Libbie is a secret character and is accessed by holding grow on Lilibri’s portrait in the character select screen for modes other than Story Mode or Puzzle Mode for one second. Libbie is based on a LibreOffice mascot contest submission by Chinese character artist Tyson Tan, who also worked as character designer for Freedom Planet 2.

The Baz

The Baz is a secret character and is accessed by holding grow on Strelitz’s portrait in the character select screen for modes other than Story Mode or Puzzle Mode for one second. The Baz is a Kickstarter funded character addition based on a piece of unused Street Fighter concept art that was made famous by a Lets Play channel before making it into several other games as Kickstarter buy-ins.

Mimi

Mimi is a secret character and is accessed by holding grow on Ore Kid’s portrait in the character select screen for modes other than Story Mode or Puzzle Mode for one second. She is an original Kickstarter buy-in character.

Seperate Penny and Deony

Added in the 1.1 update, Penny and Deony are available as seperate characters. Penny is accessed as the 3rd and 4th costumes for Penny and Deony (grow 2/3 times), and Deony is accessed as the 5th and 6th costumes for Penny and Deony (grow 4/5 times).

Millia

Millia is a secret character added in the 1.1 update and is accessed by holding grow on Penny and Deony’s portrait in the character select screen for modes other than Story Mode or Puzzle Mode for one second. Milla is a character from the Freedom Planet series, developed and published by GalaxyTrail.

Nova

Nova is a secret character added in the 1.1 update and is accessed by holding grow on Yosoti’s portrait in the character select screen for modes other than Story Mode or Puzzle Mode for one second. Nova is the character and persona of NovaSquirrel, game developer who worked on the netcode for Petal Crash Online. “Nova” the character also features in the homebrew NES game Nova The Squirrel.
