Palworld – How to Get PalWorldSettings.ini to Work

If You Transferred a Saved Game to Dedicated Server

For those of you like me that have fallen in love with this game and transferred your save over after playing it with some of your friends and onto a dedicated server, I am sure you have wrecked your brain trying to get the damn PalWorldSettings.ini to work!

After spending the past hour of copying from the DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini, making sure there were no missing punctuation or extra spaces everywhere, I stumbled upon this little nugget:

Delete (or to be safe, just rename) the WorldOption.sav file that is in your SavedGames/0/<ID> folder that contains Level.sav,LevelData.sav, and LevelMeta.sav and it should use the settings that you put in the PalWorldSettings.ini

That’s how I got mine to work and finally respond to console commands.

My first game was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation) back in 1996. And since then gaming has been my main hobby. I turned my passion for gaming into a job by starting my first geek blog in 2009. When I’m not working on the site, I play mostly on my PlayStation. But I also love outdoor activities and especially skiing.
