Arcana Leveling in the New World
Arcana is one of the seven crafting-based trade skills available in Amazon Games’ MMORPG The New World. It’s a lot of fun to work on different skills. However, having a strategy in place before you begin leveling up in New World is a good idea.
You can choose from one of seven crafting professions, such as Jewelcrafting, each of which specializes in specific items and recipes.
You’ll unlock exciting new things as you level up your trade skills, which will help you along your journey.
Arcana
The Arcana Crafting Skill is used to make magical weapons, potions, ice gauntlets, and other alchemical items. These items and potions are extremely useful in battle and will give you an advantage over your opponents.
Higher-level Arcanists will always have powerful weapons, potions, and the ability to craft weapons with a high Gear Score.
Only an Arcane Repository, which can be found in Settlements, can perform Arcana. In order to reach a Tier level that allows you to craft, you must complete Town Projects.
Every craftable weapon has a tier level requirement that your Arcane Repository must meet, or you’ll have to look for another settlement with a higher level Arcane Repository.
Tier 4 Arcane Repositories’ strategic placement alone can have a direct impact on your crafting ability.
Materials Needed
You’ll need to use all of the game’s gathering resources, such as fishing, mining, skinning, and harvesting, to get the materials you need to level your Arcana skill.
Gathering all of the materials to quickly level up will take a long time. The following is a list of the materials you’ll need:
- Oil
- Tier 2 and Tier 3 Magical Plants
- Fresh Water
- Steel Ingots
- Tanglewisps (~100)
- Water Motes
- Coarse Leather
- Hyssop (50-60)

When you perform Arcana, you can gain extra XP for some of the skills that are related to Arcana Crafting. Mining and Harvesting, which are both required for this skill, are the two major sources of elemental resources for Arcanists.

How to Increase Arcana’s Power
Because there is no one-size-fits-all method for leveling up trade skills faster in New World, there are a variety of ways to expedite the process.
If you just want a free-flowing game, you can build whatever you want as long as you figure out the most efficient way to increase the Arcana skill.
We’ve divided the levels into sections based on the items you’ll need to craft. This will allow you to quickly level up the Arcana skill and reach the maximum level per division in New World.
Level 0 – 20
To power up from level 0 to level 20, you will need an Arcane Repository at Tier 2.
You will need to craft 57x Common Blight Tincture to get from Level 0 to Level 15, and 26x Common Angry Earth Coating to get from Level 15 to Level 20.
57x Common Blight Tincture will require the following ingredients:
- 57x Water
- 57x Earthspine Stem
- 57x Shockbulb Stem
26x Common Angry Earth Coating will require the following ingredients:
- 26x Oil
- 26x Shockbulb Stem
- 26x Tendrilspine Fibers
Level 20-40
You will need a Tier 2 Arcane Repository to go from Level 20 to near 40.
You will need to craft 30x Common Angry Earth Coating to get from Level 20 to Level 25, and 109x Common Angry Earth Coating and 109x Common Blight Tincture to get from Level 25 to Level 40.
30x Common Angry Earth Coating will require the following ingredients:
- 30x Oil
- 30x Shockbulb Stem
- 30x Tendrilspine Fibers
109x Common Angry Earth Coating will require the following ingredients:
- 109x Oil
- 109x Shockbulb Stem

Level 40-60
You will need Craft at Arcane Repository Tier 2 to level up from 40 to 60. To reach level 50, we will need 90x Common Angry Earth Coating and 90x Common Blight Tincture.
From Level 50 to 55, we will need Arcane Repository Tier 3 and we will need 35x Strong Blight Tincture and 34x Strong Corruption Tincture. Finally, to reach level 55 to 60 craft 48x Strong Mana Potion and 48x Strong Blight Tincture.
109x Common Angry Earth Coating will require the following ingredients:

From Level 65 to Level 80, you will need to craft 267 each of Strong Mana Potion, Strong Beast Coating and Strong Angry Earth Coating.
62x Strong Mana Potion will require the following ingredients:

Lastly, craft 112x Powerful Fire Absorption Potion and Powerful Lost Ward potion to reach level 120.
