MARVEL SNAP – Sage’s Garden Deck Guide

Quick Guide to Sage’s Garden Deck

Back when Supergiant launched, one of the more neat plays with her was SG on 4, Absman on 5, and then dump I to Hit Monkey on 6, which would then have absman flip and copy the monkey with all the other cards played!

So I thought I would take that idea and use it with Sage!

Card Choices

  • Kitty Pride: A scaling card that can be placed almost anywhere is a must!
  • Nico Minoru: Great card with flexible spells!
  • Angela: With or without Kitty, Angela on 2 can get pretty big, a 2/8 is nothing to scoff at. She lets you scale in 1 lane early, and place kitty elsewhere later.
  • Goose: Allows you to either protect your Angela, or even deny the enemy key locations.
  • White Widow: I believe widow is a must with Sage. She puts two bodies on the board, clogs your opponent, and gives you sage +4 for 2 energy!! A great card to use.
  • Mysterio: Making Mockingbird a 2/9 while also throwing your opponent off is great, plus it puts a card in each lane for any to be read by Sage!
  • Sage: The deck’s namesake. She one of my favorite cards this month, and does a lot of good to help the deck actually put power on the board. Playing her last for Absorbing Man is key!
  • Nocturne: She is here to help fix location variance. She also allows you to sneak into locations you’re not supposed to. Just a great choice of a card in this deck.
  • Polaris: Deny’s the enemy the ability to fill the widow lane, and can disrupt their cards with movement!
  • Absorbing Man: he can copy a few different things here. Any on reveal is good, but the key s Sage. Playing under SG’s effect will have him copy the last card you play on turn 6/7.
  • Supergiant: She can do a lot of good to deny a turn 5 to your opponent. Can mess with Modok Hela, Prof X, Loki, and other archetypes as well by making them have to sort of “skip” turn 5.
  • Mockingbird: Mysterio makes her a 2/9 which is insane. Not to mention there are a number of locations that continue to discount her cost further!

Alternate Card Choices:

Nocturne/Polaris can be Red Guardian or Green Goblin, as both are effective with Sage, OR Negasonic, as she has good synergy with both White Widow and Supergiant.

Martyr is also a consideration here because if you play her BEFORE Mysterio, she will check first, and then if Mysterio reveals and you flip a lane from it, she won’t fly and lose you the game!
