Choose Detention Center mission as quickly as possible – it will give you 1 additional agent (so you have 3 now).
Another mission will give you 1 agent more (now you have 4 agents (6 in final mission (not 4))) – game is much easier (at least on the beginner difficulty).
It helped me a lot (you can search rooms a lot quicker and now you can spare less useful agents to cover knocked enemies (sitting on them (they will be knocked out as long as you are sitting on them)) and let others do the work).
