Ghost of Tsushima – How to Get Bamboo, Yew Wood and Wax Wood

In Ghost of Tsushima, you will be able to gather a variety of resources as you traverse the island of Tsushima. These range from a form of currency, to items needed to upgrade several types of gear, including weapons and armor, as you progress through the game.

How to Get Bamboo, Yew Wood, and Wax Wood

There are three types of wood resource that you can accumulate during your adventure. All three types of wood are used specifically to upgrade your Half Bow and Longbow by visiting Bowyers at different villages.

  • Bamboo is the most common type of wood, and is found growing in almost all regions of Tsushima that you can grab while traveling. It can also be found packaged in various camps, towns, and enemy forts.
  • Yew Wood is an uncommon type of wood, found growing deep in the forests and mountains of Tsushima near trees. It can also sometimes be found in enemy forts or camps.
  • Wax Wood is the rarest of all types of wood, needed for the highest tiers of bow upgrades. They can only be found growing near Shinto Shrines as you make your way up to them, and you will automatically get some for honoring the shrine.
