Hello and welcome to my tiny preparation guide.

Baking Trout is the first recipe you get when starting Career Mode, a simple recipe that can still be optimized to spend less time preparing it.

Let’s start with the basics, as you can see on the image above, here are the ingredients needed for a single Baked Trout recipe.

First we season the Trout, Horseradish was put on the Trout before cooking. It’ll save you time and prevent you from forgetting to put it after the Trout has been baked. This does not impact the recipe rating in any way.

Next up, we got the Lemon cutting technique. This is the first cut you’ll make, simple, doesn’t require any perk, you want your cut to be in the middle of the Lemon.

The above image for the second cut assume you do not possess the steady hand perk, in which case you’ll need to be cautious on how you’ll cut the Lemon, being as close to the middle horizontally as possible.

The above image for the second cut assume you do possess the steady hand perk and haven’t released it in-between the cuts.

Lastly here are 2 examples of single Baked trout preparation. One with the Lemon + Parlsey directly in the plate and the other with those in a small bowl for saving space.

The point of these is to make use of the prep time to have a Baked Trout ready to be cooked ahead of time so that when a client order it, you just need to pop it in the oven.

5 Baked Trouts Preparation

Now we hit the “i want to be more optimized” section by showing you how to swiftly prepare 5 Baked Trouts ahead of time so you do not have to worry for the day.

Here, on the image above is what you will need. Please pay attention to the placement of the Trouts on the cutting board, it’s important to follow it.

Like in the first section, we will put the Horseradish ahead of baking the Trouts so that we do not have to worry about it later on.

As seen on the image above, when going into seasoning mode on the cutting board, you will click on the Trout that is highlighted. Why ? Because it will allow you to reach all 5 fish, any other Trout being selected won’t let you reach all of them due to how the camera work on the cutting board.

Allow me to present to you, the 5 Lemons cutting techniques, if you follow the placement of the Lemons presented on the image above, you should be able to cut all 5 Lemons without causing accidental cuts that might ruins one or more of your Lemons.

In Cooking Simulator, the handle of the knife also cut ingredients so it’s easy to accidentally overcut something you weren’t planning on cutting.

As you can see on the picture above, no accidental cut occured, all Lemons are perfectly cut in 4 pieces each. Beware that it’s much easier with the steady hand perk but is doable without, just require a bit more caution with the horizontal cut.

Put all the Lemon pieces in a big bowl, the seasoned Trouts in a big plate, the 15 Parlsey leaves in a small bowl and you’re done! You successfully prepared 5 Baked Trouts ready for your career day!
