Civilization V – RuntimeError Fix Guide

This guiide is made for fixing the RuntimeError, when you trying to load a saved game.

How to Fix RuntimeError

Steps

• RMB on Cvilization 5-Properties-General -unmark “Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Civ V”

• Switch ur Steam to “Offline mode” (Steam-Go Offline-Enter Offline mode)

• Go to ***\steam\userdata\Your Steam ID
• Open 8930 folder , then delete EVERYTHING in it.

• Launch Civ V – Create new game- Save this game in Steam Cloud- Close the game – Close Steam.
• Go to ***\steam\userdata\Your Steam ID\8930, then delete remotecache.vdf (Only this file!)

• Launch Steam- Go Online Mode – RMB on Cvilization 5-Properties-General -MARK(!) “Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Civ V”

• Launch Civ V – (You will see the conflict with Cloud Saves) – Choose “Upload to a Steam Cloud”
