BEACHED – Basic Guide

Basics

Starting Out: If you choose the neutral path, consider staying away from POIs as they attract a lot of attention and hostility. Find a midground between being too far and too close to these areas to keep yourself safe while building up your confidence and PvP skills. Alternatively, get a simple wooden base with a code-locked metal door and a reinforced tool cupboard room as fast as possible. This will provide a safe base of operations for farming materials and banking loot.

Neutral Path: This is a good option for new players to learn the game and gain confidence at their own pace. However, players who choose the Hostile path will gather weapons, armor, ammo, and loot/base materials faster. They might also gather raid materials to interrupt your fortifying your base early, leading to an easy raid.

Seeking Help: If you need help, ask people who are happy to assist you. Take things step by step, focus on getting some stability, and slowly gain confidence. Remember, being a “naked” (low-tier player) is low risk high reward. So don’t be afraid to make risky plays or try something ballsy, you might surprise yourself with your ability.

Raiding: First, check if your target is aware of tool cupboards by using a hammer to destroy their structures. Sometimes people haven’t learned to use them or have simply forgotten. It takes about 4 grenades to break a wood wall/roof, 15 to break a stone wall/roof, and 22 to break a metal wall/roof. The bigger the base, the more resources you need to invest. Decide whether it is even worth it before making an effort. Aim to find the loot room or tool cupboard room, whichever is cheaper. If you gain tool cupboard access, it’s hard to lose the raid.

Use beach balls to gain height, and sometimes it’s better to blow down sideways into a base. Try building a staircase tower as close as possible to a base. You might be able to jump or launch onto the roof if they built close to the edge of their land claim.

The Game Development: The game is being actively worked on by a small team of developers, and this is not their full-time job. Patience is a virtue. Providing support and suggestions goes a long way, abuse does not. Please bear with us, and time will tell what becomes of this game’s potential.

FAQ

Q: How do I protect my base from other players?

A: Consider building a simple wooden base with a code-locked metal door and a reinforced tool cupboard room. This provides a safe base of operations for farming materials and banking loot. Use a Tool Cupboard or TC to create an area of protection. Beware, hide or fortify your TC, as it’s the most important part of your base. If players or raiders get TC access, it’s game over.

Q: How do I upgrade my base?

A: There are three tiers of structures: wood (base material), stone, and metal. Each costs 4-5 of each material, depending on the structure type. Hold right-click on your base component with a hammer and select “upgrade” at the top of the radial menu.

Q: How do I craft better tools or weapons?

A: Craft, place, and use the workbench. You can find almost everything you need in the game here.

Q: How do I raid other players?
