How to skip the intro movies/cinematics without having to screw around with renaming movie files or digging around in your AoEII directory. Yes, there is a command line option.
The Simple Way to Skip the Intro
- Right Click AoE II in your library.
- Select Properties.
- The first tab you should be on already is GENERAL.
- In the box that says LAUNCH OPTIONS type SKIPINTRO into the box. Yes, ALL CAPS, no other punctuation.
- Close properties (X in the upper right corner). Start the game it should skip the intro music/movies and go straight to the main menu.
