PAYDAY 2 - Counterfeit EXP Guide
PAYDAY 2 - Counterfeit EXP Guide

This guide is to help you find out how to get enough exp for a whole level of infamy just using counterfeit exp calculations.

EXP Boost Values

Note: Credit goes to Jiffy

Base exp is 100% (math form is 1). Death Sentence bonus is 1400% (math form is 15) Crew alive bonus is indefinitely 10% 20% and 30% respectively (decimal forms are .1 .2 and .3). Skill bonus is 50% (decimal form is .5). Max infamy bonus is 205% (decimal form is 2.05). Gage package bonus is 10% (decimal form is .1). Stealth bonus is whatever it says your stealth bonus is (check below for decimal values). Secured loot is worth 5k exp (if secured via bile’s heli).

Formula Used to Find Out How Many Bags You Need to Secure via Bile to Get a Level of Infamy

21000 + 5k per bag secured via heli + possible c4 defused * (1 + .5 + infamy bonus + crew alive bonus + gage package bonus) * 15 * stealth bonus – heat %

21000 is the base value of counterfeit, each bag is worth 5k if secured via bile, c4 is 2k extra xp if defused, 1 is your base exp, .5 is the perk deck bonus (if you have it), then there is your infamy bonus (the percents are all correct if you look at your infamy bonus), crew alive bonus only counts when you have 1 or more people in your game besides you, and gage package bonus is anywhere from 0.01 to 0.1 depending on how many you’ve collected, 15 is difficulty multiplier (difficulty multipliers are always 1 number above what they say), stealth bonus is any stealth bonus you can get from a stealthable heist, and heat % is gained from doing a heist too many times in a row.

Stealth Bonus, Difficulty Multipliers, and a Bit About Heat

Heat

Heat only happens when you play the same heist over and over again, and makes you lose at max 30% of your total exp.

Difficulty Multipliers

  • Normal = 0x more exp (or the base exp)
  • Hard = 2x more exp (3 multiplier in a calculator)
  • Very Hard = 5x more exp (6 multiplier in a calculator)
  • Overkill = 10x more exp (11 multiplier in a calculator)
  • Mayhem = 11.5x more exp (12.5 multiplier in a calculator)
  • Death Wish = 13x more exp (14 multiplier in a calculator)
  • Death Sentence = 14x more exp (15 multiplier in a calculator)

To add a stealth bonus you need to do something like * 1.25 in a calculator

  • 5% stealth bonus (decimal form is .05)
  • 8% stealth bonus (decimal form is .08)
  • 10% stealth bonus (decimal form is .10)
