Outbreak: The New Nightmare – Scenario Walkthrough

Hi, in this guide you will learn how to beat the Outbreak scenario in Outbreak: The New Nightmare.

Preparation

Note: Credit goes to Mr RSpeedy

So before you begin the Outbreak scenario (or any scenario for that matter) you need to know who you are going to chose.

So if this is your first time or you are having trouble with the scenario I recommend you play as either Hank or Lydia.

If you’re more advanced at the game then Kane or Elena is a good choice. Kane gets a lockpick. You can get to areas only unlockable by Kane (at early levels) which can grant you great weapons early in the game. You then have Elena who starts off with a pistol and has a mixed bag of stats. Sort of a jack of all trades, master of none.

Ok, so if you’re a Pure Pro Player you can go ahead with Harry or Ivy, Harry can carry +2 items at the risk of not being able to combine healing items whilst Ivy can get a heal boost with painkillers.

Searching the Central Hub

Ok so starting off it’s pretty straight forward.

Follow the hallways until you reach the Data Processing area. Once there take a right and you should be on your way to accounting, In there you will find the Round Angled key.

On the map you will see it’s here:

Searching the Server Room Area

Ok now that you have the Round Angled key You need to make a move on to the other side of the Central Hub area. Passing back Data Processing through the dual doors and making yourself going only forward, you will end up at the Server Room door.

Again, Here on the map:

Using the Round Angle key to open the door, make your way to the opposite side of the room and use the key again to unlock the 2 doors on either side.

In the pool of blood you will find the Clover key take it so we can proceed with the next objective.

NOTE: The Round Angle key is now useless so you can toss it away.

Search the Cafeteria Area

Alright, Long haul time. This is one of the longest streches you have to go before we get to the next objective, with that said lets get into it.

Now you have your Clover key you need to make your way all the way back to accounting (where you found the Round Angled key originally) before going into that room there is a door to that leads to the next area you need to be in.

Inside is a crawler and 2 doors with a stack of boxes between them.
You are going to want to take out the crawler and start shooting the door to the right as there is a zombie behind it that can hurt you if you go to open the door.

Now inside you can find a room to right, Inside lays a Kraus pistol. The best handgun in the game as it can pierce enemies allowing you to be able to hit 2 monsters with 1 bullet. You will also find shotgun shells on the shelf and out side that room painkillers.

Now continue going forward and go towards the flames (going right will net you some syrup if you are poisoned and a few handgun rounds).

Following through the corridors if you want to search the nearby rooms you can, its mostly just handgun rounds. Once you reach the end of the corridor it is obvious you will see the cafeteria area you can’t miss it.

Inside you may find a medikit behind the bar and a few handgun rounds on the tables, make you way forward to the little office and grab the Plain key.

Note: The Clover key is now useless, throw it away. Be careful around that last area 😉

Revisiting the Central Hub Area

Yup, Another long backtrack to the Central Hub.

So after picking up the Plain key you need to go all the way back to the area with the 2 doors with boxes stacked between them. This time you want the left door but again make sure you start shooting the door otherwise the zombie will hit you when you try to unlock it.

Note that we need this for extra supplies to get futher since in here you should find ammo.

So now you want to make your way to area just before the server room and head up slightly. You’ll be greated to this door that you must shoot through again or you will be hurt.

After using the Plain key on this door you will want to head directly to the other side of the room.
Passing though the entire hallway reaching the end you want to make a left turn into the closet, but be careful as there is a zombie inside gaurding the Ornate key.

Note: The Plain key is useless now, toss it.

Search the Remaining Rooms

Alright this is a short distance now so you can relax a little now.

Make your way back to the server room and remember the door you unlocked earler with the Round Angled key? well enter that room and the door infront needs to be unlocked with the Ornate key.

Inside you will find the Heart key resting on the chair.

Note: The Ornate key has fulfilled its usefulness, you can go ahead and dispose of it now.

Reach the Northeastern Corridors

You’re almost there! You can do it!

Head once more back to the Central Hub this time going right to the place with the burning room

Once there, follow the burning hallways until you reach the door, Use the Heart key to unlock the door.

Note: You wont be needing the Heart key anymore, throw it.

Suppress the Fires

Ok so for this part you can either be a cheat or actually do it.

There is a breaker box to the side of the door which you will be needing a passcode to release the sprinklers.

Go down the hallway all the way into the restroom at the end, in there you will find an archive book revealing the passcode to the breaker box.

The code to it is 24681.

Now you will be greeted to another breaker box for another passcode.

You will need to follow the hallway down until you reach the burning werehouse where you will find another archival book on the ground giving you your 2nd and last passcode.

The 2nd passcode to it is 999912.

Aswell you will need to pick up your last key, The Gold key

Escape

The final objective, the moment you’ve been waiting for since you started.

So now you’re at the end of the line you are going to want to go back and get as much ammo and supplies as you can, fill your health bar, grab the power weapons or you may not reach the finish line.

Ok so the final strech you need to fight your way past the now extinguished hallway being very careful of what rooms you check. eventually when you reach down the hallway you need to act fast as there is a hunter waiting to catch you out.

After taking out the hunter you will have a few more foes to deal with, and then you will reach the final door that can only be unlocked the Gold key.

Once this door is unlocked you can throw out the gold key and go back and look for other weapons as the boss in this room can take alot of damage and kill you, Luckily next to the door there is usually 1 painkiller so you can have a fighting chance if you were already low.

Misc Info

So some hidden items on this scenario like a Grenade launcher exists here only after you have the Heart key OR selected Kane OR have earned the lockpicking perk.

The Magnum is.. well.. (will fill out when I find it, I assume its behind the door ONLY Kane or someone with the lockpicking skill can unlock)
